Vote for Cheryl in the 2026 MJSA Responsible Jewelry Design Challenge

I’m excited to share that I’ve been selected as one of eight jewelry designers participating in the 2026 MJSA Responsible Jewelry Design Challenge and public voting is now open!

I would love your support as you take a look at this year’s designs and, if my piece speaks to you, cast a vote for my design.

The Challenge

Each of the eight participating designers was given the same set of responsibly sourced gemstones from Columbia Gem House and asked to create an original piece of jewelry inspired by the story of Mara Ellsworth, a fictional naturalist and educator.

Mara’s story is about resilience, change, and finding a new sense of direction. Rather than focusing on a dramatic transformation, I was drawn to the quieter part of her story, the idea of finding your footing when one chapter of your life ends and another begins.

My Design

I immediately connected with Mara and her story. What struck me most was that this wasn’t a year of loud celebration for her, but rather a period of recalibration and change. She lost a long-held role, but she didn’t lose herself, and I wanted my design to reflect that sense of stability, grounding, and finding direction during a new chapter in life.

Will You Vote for My Design?

Public voting is open throughout October 31st, and I would be so grateful if you would take a few minutes to see all eight designs and vote for mine if you connect with it.

VOTE FOR MY DESIGN

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and for supporting me in this experience.

And if you’re interested in owning one of the eight designs, there is also a raffle running through October 31, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Peoples Training & Research Centre in Gujarat, India.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me! ❤️
